A place in the men’s final of the 2023 Australian Open will be up for grabs when No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas and No. 18 Karen Khachanov meet in a semi-final match at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Thursday. The 24-year-old Tsitsipas will play in his fourth Australian Open semi-final in the last five years. He has never reached the finals. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Khachanov is playing in his first Australian Open semi-final and second consecutive Grand Slam semi-final. In September he lost to Casper Ruud in the US Open semi-finals.

Caesars Sportsbook’s latest Tsitsipas vs Khachanov odds has Tsitsipas -260 favorite ($260 risked to win $100), while Khachanov is +200 underdog. The over/under for total games is 39.5. Matches will begin after the mixed doubles final but not before 10:30 am ET. Before locking in any Khachanov vs Tsitsipas picks or 2023 Australian Open predictions, You Need to See What SportsLine Tennis Expert Jose Onorato Has to Say,

Onorato grew up playing competitive tennis in Caracas, Venezuela. After coming to the US, he trained with renowned coach Nick Bollettieri at the IMG Academy in Florida and faced players such as Robert Farah, who is now one of the top-ranked doubles players in the world.

Onorato, who has a dual degree in finance and economics from the University of Miami, does extensive research before placing any tennis bets. He studies the current form, tendency of the players on a particular surface, weather conditions and many other relevant factors. That methodical approach helped Onorato go 96-67-7 — up to 60.42 units — in 2022.

Now, Onorato has delved into the latest Australian Open 2023 odds and released his coveted best bets for the Tsitsipas vs Khachanov men’s semi-final match. He is sharing his pick and expert analysis only on Sportsline,

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Karen Khachanov Preview

No Grand Slam brings out the best of Tsitsipas quite like the Australian Open. Overall No. 3 seed Tsitsipas has a 22-5 record in six appearances at the Australian Open. On Thursday, he will try to reach his first final in Melbourne.

To do so, he must overcome Khachanov, against whom Tsitsipas has a history of success. In the last five matches between the two, Tsitsipas has won all of them. Four of those meetings took place on hard surfaces like the one they’ll see on Thursday.

But Khachanov has found his form in the majors. The 6-foot-6 Russian played in 23 Grand Slam tournaments before reaching his first semifinal at last year’s US Open. With his win over American Sebastian Korda in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, Khachanov is one win away from playing in his first Grand Slam final again.

In that win over Korda, Khachanov controlled the game with a dominant serve. In the first set he won 80% of his first-serve points, and in the second set he won 78%. In contrast Korda won only 50% of his first serves in the second set. Korda was forced to retire three games into the third set with an injured wrist. You can see Onorato’s best bets here,

How to make Tsitsipas vs Khachanov
