EA Sports is officially back in the golf video game space with the imminent release of “EA Sports PGA Tour”. Marking his first venture back into the golf scene since the “Rory McIlroy PGA Tour” in 2015, his return to consoles will be quite the contrast than before. After the first covers from 1999-2014 featured athletes such as McIlroy and mainly Tiger Woods, this year’s edition of the Games will not feature a big-name superstar on the cover. EA Sports will instead rely on new gameplay options, advanced technology and the inclusion of some of the most storied golf courses around the world.

The official release date for “EA Sports PGA Tour” is Friday, March 24, 2023, just two weeks before the Masters. This makes some sense as the game will feature a Road to the Masters gameplay option.
