the toss new zealand elected to bat vs India

In the second T20 match played in Lucknow, New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and decided to bat first. After winning the first T20I in Ranchi, the visitors would like to seal the three-match series.

The Ekana Stadium has so far hosted five T20Is, with the team batting first winning on all five occasions. This was also the reason behind Santner’s decision. The match is being played on a red clay pitch, which Santner said could help spinners.

New Zealand made no changes to their winning combination.

Hardik Pandya said that India also wants to bat first. The hosts made one change, bringing in Yuzvendra Chahal in place of Umran Malik. This gives them three spin-bowling options, with Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav being the other two.
The last time India lost a bilateral T20I series at home was in 2019, when Australia beat them 2-0.
